Acting Workshop

  • The Acting Workshop meets every Wednesday from 7-11pm, January - June and September-November at the Hollywood Club of LA.

  • Members can join via invitation or auditions. Interested individuals can audit by arrangement. Contact us below.

  • Our goal is to make the pursuit of one's dreams possible and affordable. Profiting off dreamers is not a practice we will participate in.

  • The cost of the workshop is $125 per month.

Workshop Format

The workshop is run by a moderator and a stage manager. Actors are asked “What did you work on?” to place their work within a broader context and allow company members to provide targeted and specific feedback. The first hour of the workshop is dedicated to acting exercises and technique training. The last 3 hours is dedicated to scene work and feedback.

Scene Work Standards

Consistent scene work is the standard of the workshop, however actors can also work on monologues and other pieces as preferred.

The workshop does not involve a specific method or system. Instead we pull the best of what has proven to work from Master Instructors like Stanislavski, Lee Strasberg, Uta Hagen, and others.  Actors are required to work on the scenes, given circumstances, relationships, environment, objectives, etc in rehearsal time outside of the workshop.

Actors are expected to document feedback and apply the notes, and can seek direction from company members outside of the workshop to maximize learning and growth.
